Sakyong to run Big Sur for Surmang

Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche will run the demanding Big Sur Marathon on Sunday 25 April to raise funds for the rebuilding of Düdtsi-til Shedra, the monastic college of Surmang.

Lady Diana Mukpo has said she would love it if we could double or even triple the amount we gave in support of Rinpoche's Toronto Marathon that raised nearly $10,000. "I would urge everyone who feels a deep connection with the spiritual traditions brought to us by the Vidyadhara to consider what you can give in return to Surmang and its people," she said.

You can now visit the Konchok Foundation website <konchok.org> where you will find a beautiful artist's sketch of the new shedra, along with brilliant photographs of Surmang and its people. The site also features a mile-by-mile description of the route Rinpoche will run through the Big Sur terrain.
